Thirty-nine Welfare Facilities Invite 700 Disabled Individuals and Staff Members
Megabox held a cultural sharing event for people with developmental disabilities on the 21st at the Sangam World Cup Stadium branch in collaboration with Aekyung Industrial. Approximately 700 people, including 39 welfare facility residents with disabilities and staff who had limited cultural experience opportunities due to the spread of COVID-19, were invited to watch the movies "Buzz Lightyear" and "Jurassic World: Dominion." A Megabox representative stated, "We plan to continue cultural sharing activities targeting marginalized groups who have relatively limited cultural life experiences."
Separately, Megabox supports about 53,000 annual movie tickets for 442 group homes managing children in need of social protection. To prevent stigmatization, membership cards are issued separately instead of group viewing.
