Gangdong Police Station Collaborates with Mom's Touch to Launch 'Missing Person Prevention Campaign'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Gangdong Police Station in Seoul announced on the 22nd that it will conduct a 'Pre-registration Campaign for Fingerprints and Others' in collaboration with Mom's Touch to protect socially vulnerable groups.

Since the 20th, Gangdong Police Station has been distributing QR code sheets (tray mats) that allow direct registration to 1,354 Mom's Touch stores nationwide. The pre-registration system for fingerprints and others is a system that pre-registers fingerprints and other data for children under 18, dementia patients, and individuals with intellectual, autism, or mental disabilities, and uses the registered data to quickly locate them in case of disappearance.

A Gangdong Police Station official said, "Reports of missing dementia patients are increasing due to the aging society," and added, "We plan to focus on promoting the fact that pre-registration is possible for various groups."
