US CJ Daehan Tongun Selected as '2022 Green Supply Chain Partner'

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] CJ Logistics America, the integrated subsidiary of CJ Logistics in the United States, is strengthening its position in the U.S. logistics market by leading ESG management.

CJ Logistics announced on the 22nd that its U.S. integrated subsidiary, CJ Logistics America, was selected as a "2022 Green Supply Chain Partner" by the U.S. logistics magazine Inbound Logistics.

Inbound Logistics, a renowned U.S. logistics magazine, annually selects 75 companies that strive to maintain a sustainable global supply chain and actively practice eco-friendly logistics as Green Supply Chain Partners, collectively called the "G75."

The selection was based on four criteria: measurable green performance, sustainable innovation, continuous improvement, and industry recognition.

To practice eco-friendly logistics, CJ Logistics America comprehensively monitors energy usage across its facilities nationwide in the U.S. It manages six categories?electricity, gas, water, natural gas, recycling, and waste?by each facility. The company sets annual targets every year and strives to reduce total energy consumption.

Additionally, through continuous remodeling and optimization of its logistics network, it is reducing carbon emissions by shortening the total travel distance of freight trucks. Furthermore, it actively introduces high-efficiency lighting, solar panels, and eco-friendly packaging materials at logistics centers to lead green logistics practices.
