Marine Cultural Heritage Research Institute, Recruiting Students for Sea Culture School

Sharing and Discussing Marine Environmental Issues on the Theme of 'Bada wa Hwangyeong'

The National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage is recruiting students for the Sea Culture School until the 1st of next month. This is a humanities lecture on maritime culture for adults, operated since 1955 at the Mokpo Maritime Relics Exhibition Hall. This year, under the theme "Sea and Environment," the program shares and contemplates maritime environmental issues and response measures from various perspectives such as marine science, contemporary art, history, and food culture. The classes will be held every Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM, from the 5th of next month until August 2nd. Lecturers include Dr. Joo Hyun-hee from the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology's Marine Policy Research Institute, Senior Researcher Kim Anna from the Korea Culture Technology Institute, Professor Kim Moon-gi from the Department of History at Pukyong National University, Professor Kim Tae-won from the Department of Marine Science at Inha University, and Professor Jung Hye-kyung from the Department of Food and Nutrition at Hoseo University. Participation is free of charge. Anyone interested in maritime culture can join.
