[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Peugeot announced that it will begin pre-orders for the third-generation fully redesigned ‘New Peugeot 308 (New 308)’ in Korea starting from the 20th. The New 308 is the first new car to feature Peugeot's latest emblem. It embodies the new brand strategy and design message.
The New 308 is a completely redesigned model released after 9 years since the second generation in 2013. Features such as the daytime running lights shaped like a lion's fangs emphasize the brand identity. The full LED rear lamps at the back are designed to resemble the lion's claws, a symbol of Peugeot. The interior is equipped with a 10-inch high-resolution central screen for functional beauty. It also offers best-in-class trunk space, enhancing the practicality expected from a hatchback.
The New 308 will be officially launched in early next month with two trims: Allure and GT. The selling price is expected to start from the mid-30 million KRW range.
Jake Aumann, President of Stellantis Korea, said, “The New 308 is a quintessential ‘stylish hatchback’ that combines France’s unique creative and innovative exterior design, an interior reflecting the latest trends, and Peugeot’s distinctive sharp driving sensation. As the first fully redesigned Peugeot model released after the integration of Stellantis brands in Korea and the first car to bear the new emblem, it will showcase the changed status and true essence of Peugeot.”
Details regarding the New 308 pre-orders can be found at Peugeot nationwide showrooms and the official website.
