[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) announced on the 17th that it will develop VR·AR (Virtual·Augmented Reality) content for root technology education.
This content, which will systematically transfer the skilled techniques of masters, will be used for field-oriented root technology talent training at the 'Incheon Digital Root Master Education Center.'
Incheon TP is recruiting specialized companies for the development and advancement of digital content (VR·AR) in the three major root industries (casting, welding, surface treatment) until the 6th of next month.
The recruitment target is related small and medium-sized enterprises in the Incheon area, and applications for bidding will be accepted through the national comprehensive electronic procurement system, Nara Market, starting from the 29th.
Incheon TP plans to select companies and complete the development of educational digital content by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, the Incheon City consortium, selected last year in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's project competition for future-oriented structural transformation of the root industry, will invest 2.45 billion KRW over three years until next year to establish the Digital Root Master Education Center.
The consortium includes the lead institution Inha University, as well as Incheon City, Incheon TP, the Korean Foundry Society, the Korea Welding Industry Cooperative, and the Korea Surface Treatment Industry Cooperative.
