Electroland Opens KT Robot Brand Store... "Selling Various Robots"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Electron Land announced on the 16th that it will open a KT Robot Brand Store at the Electron Land Power Center Yongsan Main Store in collaboration with KT.

The KT Robot Brand Store is located on the 3rd floor of the Electron Land Power Center Yongsan Main Store, and plans to showcase various robots developed and launched by KT at the store in the future. Currently, the store sells KT's flagship robots, including AI service robots and disinfection robots.

The AI service robot is an autonomous driving robot equipped with functions such as serving, guiding, patrolling, and clearing tables. The robot features spatial recognition capabilities to automatically avoid obstacles and navigate to precise locations. A weight sensor is embedded in the tray, so after delivering food to customers, the tray is detected as empty and the robot automatically returns to the waiting area.

The AI disinfection robot removes bacteria, viruses, fine dust, and harmful gases present on floors and in the air of living spaces. The robot eliminates 99.9% of airborne bacteria and viruses through plasma and removes fine dust and harmful gases with an air purification filter. It can also sterilize bacteria and viruses settled on the floor using eco-friendly UV-C LED technology.

An Electron Land official stated, “As the first home appliance retailer in Korea, we expect synergy between Electron Land’s IT home appliance distribution expertise and KT’s AI robot technology leading the 4th industrial revolution.” He added, “Starting with the opening of the KT Robot Brand Store, we plan to continuously strive to make Electron Land a new distribution hub for robots suitable for the 4th industrial revolution era.”
