[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] A university president and two students have joined the Eurasian continent-crossing expedition.
They have joined the "Eurasia Peace Expedition Team," which promotes Busan to the world and campaigns for the Busan World Expo bid.
The expedition team will cross the Asian-European continent to Lisbon, Portugal, with two current students of Dongmyung University and President Jeon Ho-hwan participating.
President Jeon Ho-hwan said, "The 2030 World Expo bid is the most important opportunity for Busan's innovation and growth, and the crossing will spread the necessity, justification, and the hopes of all citizens for the Busan 2030 World Expo bid worldwide."
President Jeon added, "Since the Eurasian expedition aligns with Dongmyung University's educational philosophy of Do-ing, we co-hosted this expedition."
He explained that the Do-ing educational philosophy fosters future-oriented Do-ing talents who experience and act, possessing unchanging values and fundamental competencies in any world.
At the expedition team’s send-off ceremony on the 5th, President Jeon Ho-hwan said, "The two participating students will receive 6 credits (Pioneering Subject, Foreign Exploration), and the many hardships and new experiences gained from the expedition will provide new knowledge that cannot be learned from books, cultivating values and competencies such as challenge and passion, communication and empathy, respect and consideration."
President Jeon added, "To practice Dongmyung University's Do-ing talent development philosophy, I plan to personally participate in the crossing from Bilbao to Lisbon in mid-July."

They will promote to the world that Busan is both the starting and ending point of Eurasia, and spread Korea’s "K-culture," eco-friendly energy and mobility, and artificial intelligence technologies globally.
The youngest expedition members are Dongmyung University Do-ing College freshmen Nam Hyo-yeon and Kim Min-seong.
