Ateone Subsidiary Grid Signs MOU with Kyungsung University and Dong-A University to Utilize Metaverse Platform ‘moim’

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Aitone subsidiary Grid (CEO Choi Cheolsun) announced on the 15th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kyungsung University (President Song Sugun) and Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) to utilize the metaverse platform ‘moim’.

The MOU signing ceremony held on the 14th at the Kyungsung University Information Hall was attended by Grid CEO Choi Cheolsun, Kyungsung University University Innovation Support Project Director Lee Namju, Dong-A University University Innovation Project Director Lee Junggyu, and other key officials.

Starting from this MOU, Kyungsung University and Dong-A University will utilize the metaverse platform moim developed by Grid across the entire operation of university curricula, seminars, conferences, and metaverse-based education. Furthermore, they plan to actively cooperate to expand outcomes in international cooperation and information exchange activation, education linkage for nurturing outstanding talents, and joint research.

Grid CEO Choi Cheolsun expressed, “This MOU can serve as an opportunity to integrate future technologies such as the metaverse into education and to spread more creative learning effects by utilizing them.”

Kyungsung University University Innovation Support Project Director Lee Namju said, “Through Grid’s active technical support and cooperation with Dong-A University, we plan to continuously provide various contents in the metaverse space and contribute to growing the platform into one that leads next-generation educational innovation beyond creating a metaverse educational environment.”

Dong-A University University Innovation Project Director Lee Junggyu stated, “In line with the Ministry of Education’s policy direction emphasizing regional development through sharing and cooperation among universities, Dong-A University, Kyungsung University, and Grid will maintain close mutual cooperation to ensure the successful realization of metaverse-based educational innovation.”
