Korail Gwangju Jeonnam, Railway Safety Event Inviting Local Children

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Korea Railroad Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters invited about 20 children from a local daycare center in Gwangyang City on the 14th to conduct a railroad safety prevention education experience activity.

This activity was prepared to ensure children's safe use of railroads by preventing railroad accidents and providing precautions when boarding trains.

The children participating in the event received safety education on track facilities within Gwangyang Station and also experienced various train station duties such as stationmaster and station staff roles (ticket issuance and hand signal methods).

A KORAIL official stated, “This event was organized to instill dreams and hopes through a friendly railroad image for children, who are future customers, and to raise awareness of the importance of safety through education.”
