[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Woo Sang-ho, Emergency Committee Chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, urgently proposed a four-person meeting attended by the heads and floor leaders of both ruling and opposition parties on the 14th to resolve the Cargo Solidarity strike issue.
In his opening remarks at the launch ceremony of the Livelihood Priority Practice Group on the same day, Chairman Woo said, "It is true that there are disagreements between the ruling and opposition parties in the negotiation for the formation of the National Assembly, but I believe there is no distinction between ruling and opposition when it comes to prioritizing people's livelihood." He added, "I urgently propose a four-person meeting composed of the heads and floor leaders of both ruling and opposition parties to resolve the most urgent issue of the Cargo Solidarity strike."
He stated, "It is necessary for the ruling and opposition parties to put their heads together, discuss, and reach a conclusion to stop the strike and prevent the logistics crisis from turning into a new economic crisis for ordinary people."
