"Practice Kind Travel"... Incheon Tourism Organization's 'Eco-Friendly Travel' Nationwide Campaign

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The Incheon Tourism Organization is conducting the 'My Green Incheon Travel' campaign until August 31 to promote eco-friendly travel culture during the summer vacation season.

The campaign is part of the nationwide tourism organizations' joint 'Think Us Campaign' and is being promoted together with the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation, and Incheon Environmental Corporation. The goal is to realize sustainable tourism through good travel practices such as picking up trash at travel destinations, reducing disposable products, and using eco-friendly transportation.

During the campaign period, the organization will introduce ways to practice good travel and hold a public certification photo event.

Anyone visiting Incheon travel destinations can participate, and by posting a certification photo after practicing good travel with the mandatory hashtag (#내가그린인천여행) on their personal Instagram or Facebook, they will be automatically entered into the event.

Depending on the number of participations, 300 selected individuals will receive generous prizes such as hotel accommodation vouchers (3 people), Incheon Tour Pass for two (5 people), eco-friendly products (100 people), and mobile beverage coupons (200 people).

Meanwhile, the organization has launched the 'Incheon Eco-friendly Educational Travel' product linking local environmental facilities and tourist sites, which will operate until November 30. The first 500 people to make reservations will receive discounts on tourist site experience fees.

An official from the Incheon Tourism Organization said, "Practicing good travel is a necessary campaign at a time when interest in the environment is high and domestic travel demand is rapidly increasing," and urged, "We ask many travelers visiting Incheon to actively participate in the campaign."
