[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 13th that it received a sponsorship fund from Aroma Life Co., Ltd. on the 10th to support cultural experiences for neighbors in need of care.
The donation ceremony was attended by Lee Seung-woo, Vice President of Aroma Life Co., Ltd., and Kim Jin-gon, Secretary General of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea.
Aroma Life Co., Ltd. donated 4 million KRW to the Seo-gu Community Security Council to provide cultural experience opportunities such as theater viewing for local neighbors in need of care.
Lee Seung-woo, Vice President of Aroma Life Co., Ltd., was the first donor to participate in the Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign last year. He pledged a donation of 100 million KRW and joined as the 126th member of the ‘Honor Society,’ a high-value individual donor group of the Community Chest of Korea, contributing to the spread of a sharing culture.
Additionally, his father, Lee Hak-jae, Chairman of Aroma Life Co., Ltd., and his mother, Lee Kwang-eun, CEO of Merci Life, are also the 33rd and 39th Honor Society members in Gwangju, respectively. They serve as the 5th Gwangju Family Honor Society, leading exemplary efforts in the development of welfare and the spread of sharing culture in the Gwangju community.
A Seo-gu official said, “We thank Vice President Lee Seung-woo for the precious sponsorship to provide cultural experience opportunities for neighbors in need of care in Seo-gu. We will use this fund to identify and support care generations in the region who lack opportunities for cultural experiences.”
Meanwhile, the Seo-gu Community Security Council plans to use a total of 19 million KRW, including this donation, to bridge the cultural gap for neighbors in need of care within Seo-gu.
