[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education is conducting the ‘Woori Ai Ma-eum Todak Psychological Treatment and Counseling Support’ project for kindergarten children.

The Woori Ai Ma-eum Todak support project aims to help young children who are experiencing psychological and mental difficulties for various reasons to recover their mental health.

It was first launched in September last year and will be operated twice this year, divided into the first and second semesters.

When selected as a beneficiary, parents can choose an institution they want to receive psychological treatment and counseling, and the Office of Education supports the treatment costs for the parents.

In April, the 2022 first semester support project was announced to all kindergartens, and 69 children applied for psychological treatment and counseling support.

For children who applied for support, 50,000 KRW per session is provided, supporting up to 10 sessions of psychological treatment and counseling. The second semester beneficiaries will be selected in October.

A representative from the city Office of Education said, “The Ma-eum Todak support project can help alleviate the anxiety of young children who feel psychological unease,” and added, “We will not spare any support to continuously implement the Ma-eum Todak support project, not as a one-time project, but to help our young children grow up healthy in body and mind.”
