A student from Dongseo University is experiencing a VR game at the exhibition booth of the '2022 Dongseo AI Unboxing' event.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] The SW-Centered University Project Group at Dongseo University held the ‘2022 Dongseo AI Unboxing’ event on the 8th to realize convergence education focused on AI and big data.
The ‘2022 Dongseo AI Unboxing’ event is an event that the Dongseo University SW-Centered University Project Group has been conducting since last year, featuring the flow of AI across society, education, case introductions, and hands-on experiences.
Special lectures related to artificial intelligence were delivered by AI experts.
The lectures included “A Guide for Artists Traveling through Machine Learning” by Professor Kim Daehong of Seoul Institute of the Arts, “How Cutting-Edge AI Police Security Catches Thieves” by Police Officer Kim Jinhak of Busan Police Agency, and “AI Designer vs. Human Designer” by Dr. Choi Woojin, a research professor in the Department of Clothing and Textiles at Seoul National University, covering recent trending topics.
In the lobby of the 6th floor international seminar room at UIT, various AI-related exhibition and experience booths were set up, allowing many students to participate and enhance their understanding and interest in artificial intelligence.
The exhibition booths featured VR game experiences, facial 3D scanning and 3D printing, virtual production ? I am a Hero, collaborative robots, graduate school introductions, and more.
Moon Mikyung, head of the SW-Centered University Project Group, said, “The event provided an opportunity to explore directions for research and development of big data and AI through various interdisciplinary discussions.”
