"Let's Create a Safe Workplace" Hyundai Mobis Labor and Management Join Hands

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Mobis labor and management, along with the government, have agreed to cooperate in creating a safe workplace.

According to the company on the 9th, a joint labor-management-government safety declaration ceremony was held at the Changwon plant the previous day, attended by about 300 people including Hyundai Mobis executives, employees, and government officials. Park Hyung-gi, head of the Hyundai Mobis branch of the Metal Workers' Union, Kim Jin-hwan, head of Hyundai Mobis Safety and Health Division, Lee Byung-hoon, Changwon plant manager of Hyundai Mobis, and Lee Sang-mok, head of the Changwon branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, were present.

They read the safety practice declaration together and exchanged pledges. The declaration emphasized respect for life as the highest value and called for cooperation to prevent industrial accidents and create a safe workplace. Specifically, the company’s labor and management agreed to jointly inspect the workplace and operate a channel called ‘Baro Silcheon’ (Immediate Action) to promptly address urgent issues.

They will conduct experiential safety training and introduce safety content such as videos and webtoons. While increasing personnel dedicated to safety, they also plan to strengthen education and investment. They will also support safety activities of partner companies. Earlier this year, the company held declaration ceremonies at the Jincheon and Ulsan plants, and with the recent ceremony at the Changwon plant, all domestic business sites have joined. The company aims to establish a safety system by 2025 targeting ISRS Level 7, which is the global standard in the automotive industry.
