Seoul Songpa-gu Childcare Comprehensive Support Center Signs MOU for Learning Support and Museum Cultural Enjoyment with Local Daycare Centers

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Hansung Baekje Museum Mongchon History Hall announced on the 9th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Seoul Songpa-gu Childcare Comprehensive Support Center. The two institutions participating in the agreement recognize the importance of education for early childhood groups such as daycare centers in the district and provide specialized museum education for young children and local history education through this.

According to this MOU, in June, the monthly Nuri Curriculum 'Our Neighborhood' linked education program, 'Dream Tree Curiosity Expedition: Shape Friends Met at the Museum,' will be held every Thursday starting from the 9th. Starting with this, the Mongchon History Hall will combine its educational capabilities with Songpa Childcare Center’s operational know-how to strengthen customized early childhood education services related to Seoul’s historical experience content.

The June education program, Dream Tree Curiosity Expedition, is designed to allow young children to explore the Songpa-gu pictorial map and artifacts in the Mongchon History Hall exhibition room using basic shapes such as circles, triangles, and squares, developed to help children take an interest in the local community and history.

Yoo Byung-ha, director of the Hansung Baekje Museum, said, "As a municipal institution, the Hansung Baekje Museum Mongchon History Hall plans to expand MOUs to educational organizations that require historical experiences. We will continue to cooperate to provide customized historical experience education to growing dream trees through connections with educational organizations not only in Seoul Songpa but also in various regions."
