Five Thousand Years of Korean Medicine! Together with the People ... The 21st Korea Traditional Medicine Expo to Open at Daegu EXCO on July 1 The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development will hold the 21st Korea Traditional Medicine Expo for three days from July 1 to July 3.

[The Asia Business Daily Yeongnam News Bureau, Reporter Yeo Jonggu] The 21st Korea Traditional Medicine Expo, under the theme "Five Thousand Years of Korean Medicine! Together with the People!", will be held for three days from July 1 to July 3 at Daegu EXCO, in conjunction with Mediexpo.

This event, hosted by Daegu Metropolitan City and organized by the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development, is the largest of its kind in Korea. It is supported by Daegu Haany University, Dongguk University College of Korean Medicine, the Daegu Association of Korean Medicine, and the Gyeongbuk Association of Korean Medicine, with participation from more than 40 companies and over 100 institutions and organizations.

Main programs include exhibitions on the current development of the domestic Korean medicine industry, the Korean Medicine Hospital and Clinic Pavilion preparing for the post-COVID-19 era, the Korean Medicine Industry Pavilion, the Korean Medicine Experience Pavilion, and various side events.

As part of the side events, the Korean Medicine Industry Technology Support Pavilion will be operated to foster the industry, improve accessibility, and create jobs. Various events are also prepared, such as sports massage and free Korean medicine consultations by Daegu Haany University Korean Medicine Hospital, body composition and stress tests by Changhan Korean Medicine Hospital, and bee venom therapy experiences by Wonje Korean Medicine Clinic.

At the booth of the Korean Pulse Diagnosis Society, visitors can experience pulse diagnosis, a diagnostic and treatment method based on the scientific and standardized approach of Korean medicine. Using a pulse diagnosis device, the pulse waveform is displayed similarly to an echocardiogram, allowing a Korean medicine doctor to assess the health of the body's internal organs.

Additionally, Bplus One External Herbal Dispensary in Chilgok County will introduce its refined bee venom products, known for their anti-inflammatory and anti-neuralgia effects, and offer free consultations and acupuncture treatments using these products. The Bee Country Social Cooperative will also promote bee venom cosmetics and related products.

Furthermore, free Korean medicine consultation programs will be provided by Daegu Haany University Korean Medicine Hospital, the Daegu Association of Korean Medicine, and the Gyeongbuk Association of Korean Medicine.

The Korea Traditional Medicine Expo, the only specialized exhibition for the Korean medicine industry in the country, is expected to serve as an opportunity not only for technology and information exchange between Korean medicine companies, researchers, and related professionals, but also to widely promote the achievements of standardization and scientific advancement in Korean medicine to the public and to explore the future value of the industry.

Jung Changhyeon, President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development, stated, "Through the Korea Traditional Medicine Expo, we will build networks within the Korean medicine industry, discover and support new products and technologies, and create value in Korean medicine that grows alongside the public, fostering both industry and culture."

Admission to the Korea Traditional Medicine Expo is free, and further details can be found on the official expo website.
