9th County Council Member Elect Orientation.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Hapcheon County Council in Gyeongnam held an orientation for the 9th Hapcheon County Council elected members on the 7th at the Sejong Room of the Cheongwadae set at Hapcheon Video Theme Park.

Chairman Seok Man-jin, the elected members, Acting Mayor Lee Seon-gi of Hapcheon County, and about 40 related officials attended. At the event, education was provided on the Public Officials Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, which has been in effect since May 19, the operation system of council and meetings, various case analyses and techniques for successful council activities, administrative affairs audits, and budget review procedures to ensure the smooth launch of the 9th Hapcheon County Council.

Chairman Seok Man-jin said, “I express my gratitude that all 11 elected members actively participated in the orientation despite their busy schedules.”

Chairman Seok said, “The 8th council successfully separated personnel authority following the full revision of the Local Autonomy Act and completed organizational restructuring. Through the enactment and revision of related local regulations, the legal and institutional framework for the successful launch of the 9th council has been fully established.”

The 9th Hapcheon County Council plans to open the 264th Hapcheon County Council extraordinary session in July, form the chairmanship, and then proceed with full-scale work.
