[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The fire at a waste tire recycling factory in Anui-myeon, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, was completely extinguished at around 7:45 PM on the 4th.
The fire, which broke out at around 11:25 AM in the tire yard where waste tires were piled up, was put out after about 8 hours and 20 minutes by 31 firefighting vehicles and 78 firefighters.
According to the fire authorities, approximately 750 tons of waste tires were destroyed in the fire, but there were no casualties.
The authorities lifted the level 1 fire response, and plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage as soon as the remaining flames are cleared.
