K-Special Safety Co., Ltd., a specialized highway blocking company, announced that after two years of effort, it has developed and patented a 4-lane dedicated traffic signal vehicle (LCS), with about 40 units currently operating on highways nationwide.
The vehicle is developed as a special-purpose vehicle, has passed the safety inspection by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, and carries a commercial license plate.
Meanwhile, fatal accidents caused by road driving blockages have steadily increased. Accordingly, the traffic signal vehicle notifies drivers of construction zones with ultra-high brightness LED panel OX signs located 6 meters ahead of all lanes. This allows drivers to recognize the need for lane changes in advance during both day and night, guiding them to drive in safe lanes. As a result, traffic accidents have significantly decreased, helping ensure the safety of both drivers and workers.
The equipment is a patented product applying cutting-edge technology, equipped with safety devices such as a rear collision prevention radar (detecting up to 200m), fall prevention system, directional speaker, anti-rollover weights, and TMA, greatly enhancing safety.
Baek Jae-min, CEO of K-Special Safety Co., Ltd., stated, “Now, South Korea must move towards reducing fatal accidents at construction sites and preventing traffic accidents by deploying advanced mechanized equipment for road blocking. We are also preparing to launch new products such as Traffic Blocking Vehicle B1, Traffic Blocking Vehicle B2, and Larva Cone equipment. We feel satisfied and proud to be able to protect safety on the roads.” He added, “K-Special Safety wants to create new value for traffic safety in Korea.”
