[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Bright Eye Clinic 21 Hospital (Chief Director Kim Deokbae) conducted medical volunteer activities in Damyang.
This medical volunteer service was promoted at the request of the NH Nonghyup Branch Jeonnam Labor Union (Chairman An Jongpal).
Eye examinations were conducted for about 100 elderly members aged 80 and over at the auditorium on the 2nd floor of Wolsan Nonghyup, located in Wolsan-myeon, Damyang-gun.
Attendees included Director Song Yongju of Bright Eye Clinic 21 Hospital, medical staff and related personnel, Park Seohong, head of the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Nonghyup Central Association, An Jongpal, chairman of the Jeonnam Labor Union, Park Sanggu, operations committee member, Cha Sanghun, secretary-general, Lee Jaeyeon, head of the Damyang-gun branch of the Nonghyup Central Association, and Kim Beomjin, chairman of Damyang Nonghyup.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, medical examinations were conducted while maintaining distance between patients and adhering to quarantine rules such as wearing masks and using hand sanitizers.
Director Song stated, “We will continue to do our best to ensure that rural residents vulnerable to medical benefits can receive professional medical care in cooperation with NH Nonghyup Central Association.”
Meanwhile, prior to this medical volunteer service, Bright Eye Clinic 21 Hospital has conducted outreach volunteer activities such as medical volunteer services in Gokseong-gun, Bitgoeul Senior Health Town, and the KBS Love Sharing Volunteer Corps. It has also consistently participated in various social contribution activities, including free strabismus surgery support for low-income children and cataract surgery support for vulnerable groups.
