Namwon City Lifelong Learning Center Produces 8 Awardees at Jeollabuk-do Art Exhibition

[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] The Jeonbuk Namwon City Lifelong Learning Center announced on the 31st that eight learners from the calligraphy class (instructor Ryu Young-geun) were selected as awardees at the '41st Korea Art Exhibition' and the '54th Jeollabuk-do Art Exhibition.'

In particular, Kim Young-ok (aged 51) achieved the great honor of winning the Special Selection award (work title: Mukjuk) in the literati painting category at the '41st Korea Art Exhibition.'

The Namwon City Lifelong Learning Center also produced eight awardees at the '54th Jeollabuk-do Art Exhibition.'

The awardees are Kang Do-woo (calligraphy, literati painting category Special Selection), Kim Young-ok (calligraphy, literati painting category Special Selection), Lim Dong-won (calligraphy category Special Selection), Kim Kyung-nim (calligraphy category Honorable Mention), Park Sun-hee (calligraphy category Honorable Mention), So Geum-su (calligraphy category Honorable Mention), Shin Beom-hwan (calligraphy category Honorable Mention), and Jo Eun-jung (calligraphy category Honorable Mention).

Yang Byung-oh, Director of the Education and Sports Department, said, "In the era of 100 years of life, practicing a life of learning through lifelong education is a demand of the times," and added, "I sincerely congratulate the learners who have earned the honor of awards through participation in lifelong learning center programs."

Meanwhile, the Namwon City Lifelong Learning Center regularly operates about 50 lifelong learning programs in the first and second halves of the year.
