[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 31st that it has recently started recruiting for the educational program ‘H-Mobility Class,’ aimed at nurturing talent for the future mobility industry.
Now in its third year, Hyundai’s ‘H-Mobility Class’ is a specialized educational program implemented to strengthen national competitiveness in key future mobility sectors, targeting science and engineering university (graduate) students in Korea.
Hyundai Motor will select a total of 1,020 science and engineering university (graduate) students for the fields of vehicle electrification, autonomous driving, and robotics. Both the basic and advanced courses are offered completely free of charge. Those wishing to participate can apply through the recruitment website by 10 a.m. on the 13th of next month.
The final selected trainees will receive specialized education according to the curriculum of each sector. In the vehicle electrification sector, education covers ▲fuel cells ▲batteries ▲motors ▲power conversion; in the autonomous driving sector, ▲perception ▲decision-making ▲control ▲communication and networks; and in the robotics sector, ▲ROS (Robot Operating System) ▲mechanics ▲motion planning ▲sensors ▲robot arm motion ▲control.
Especially, the advanced course in the newly organized robotics sector this year will be conducted through hackathon projects. Trainees in this course will receive coaching from industry mentors to gain more practical, hands-on education.
Trainees who complete the basic course of the ‘H-Mobility Class’ will be issued a certificate of completion under Hyundai Motor’s name. Among those taking the advanced course, outstanding learners selected will be exempted from document screening when applying for related job positions at Hyundai Motor’s R&D headquarters in the future.
A Hyundai Motor official said, “We hope that the H-Mobility Class provides excellent domestic talents with opportunities to access core technologies of future mobility and serves as a bridgehead for advancing the mobility industry. Hyundai Motor will continue to prepare various programs that help nurture future talents and connect them to employment.”
