Secured 120 Million Won in Project Funds to Promote Tourist Attractions in Four Regions
[Gangjin=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Gangjin County has been finally selected as the destination for the public contest project "Sujongssi's Happy Journey," hosted by Jeollanam-do, securing a total project budget of 120 million won.
The contest project is a program featuring actor Choi Soo-jong, who introduces the nature, attractions, and food of the southern region while mingling and chatting with local residents against the backdrop of Jeonnam's beautiful areas.
Three cities/counties, Gangjin County, Suncheon City, and Yeonggwang County, were finally selected, and the program is scheduled to be broadcast in December in connection with broadcasters in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon areas, local broadcasts, and YouTube.
The county plans to collaborate with the Jeonnam Film Commission to utilize tourist sites in four zones?Yeongnang Zone, Celadon Zone, Hamel Zone, and Dasan Zone?as video content to strengthen Gangjin's regional tourism capabilities and expand regionally specialized tourism content.
Yoo Mi-ja, Acting Mayor of Gangjin County, stated, "We will divide Gangjin's origin and history into four zones in a storytelling format and enhance the brand value of Gangjin, the number one destination for Namdo exploration, through videos that highlight the characteristics of each zone."
