The Gwanak Police Station in Seoul announced on the 30th that they arrested a man in his 40s, Mr. A, on charges of public indecency.
According to the police, Mr. A was found wandering the streets of Gwanak-gu completely naked and heavily intoxicated around 12:50 PM on the 29th. He was caught by police who responded to a report from residents.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated, "I was so drunk that I don't remember."
The police plan to send Mr. A to the prosecution as soon as the investigation is completed.
In another area of Seoul, a man in his 20s of Myanmar nationality was also caught by the police after walking around the streets without clothes.
The Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced that they have arrested and are investigating Mr. B, a man in his 20s from Myanmar, on charges of public indecency and violation of the Immigration Control Act.
Mr. B was arrested on the spot around 5 AM on the 29th while walking without lower garments in front of a church in Sindebang-dong, Dongjak-gu.
At the time of arrest, it was confirmed that the man did not have his passport or other identification, but it was reported that he was not in an illegal stay status.
The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the incident with Mr. B.
