[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Polaris Office, a specialist company in office software (SW), announced on the 30th that it conducted an industry-academic cooperation project with S-ONE, the Business Strategy Society of Sungkyunkwan University, and WAVB, the Strategic Consulting Society of Sogang University.
This industry-academic cooperation project was promoted with the purpose of identifying the needs of the MZ generation, including university students who are the main users of the office SW 'Polaris Office,' and jointly exploring the direction of service development from the customer's perspective.
From the 2nd for about four weeks, a total of 10 teams (37 members) participated and carried out projects on the themes of ▲ improvement and user expansion of the Polaris Office cloud service ▲ proposals for new services based on office users.
At the final presentation held on the 26th at the Polaris Office headquarters, Sungkyunkwan University S-ONE Team 5 (Team Leader Joo Sujin) gave a presentation titled "A Plan to Make Polaris Office a Master Key for Work" and won the grand prize. Sungkyunkwan University S-ONE Team 3 won the excellence award, and Sogang University WAVB Team 3 and Sungkyunkwan University S-ONE Team 4 won the outstanding awards.
A Polaris Office official said, "Through this industry-academic cooperation project, we were able to collect vivid voices from our main customer base, university students, and also gain many creative ideas," adding, "We plan to continuously reflect the ideas discovered through the project in our services."
Meanwhile, the global office SW 'Polaris Office,' which has 117 million users worldwide, is expanding its service areas to provide differentiated services to subscription users. Based on its own platform 'Polaris Office,' it plans to offer new services encompassing OTT (online video service), commerce, community, blockchain, and NFT (non-fungible tokens).
