[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 30th that it held the '10th Kibo Venture Camp Networking Day,' attended by representatives of 50 companies participating in the Kibo Venture Camp, private accelerators, venture capitalists, and other investment stakeholders.
The Kibo Venture Camp is an accelerating program that discovers and intensively nurtures startup ventures, providing comprehensive support through financial and non-financial services. It has contributed to driving successful startups and creating good jobs by connecting companies with investment stakeholders.
Since the introduction of the Kibo Venture Camp in 2017, Kibo has discovered a total of 434 companies up to the 9th session, completing KRW 61 billion in technology evaluation guarantees and 21 technology transfers. In particular, last year, 'Mr. Appa' and 'Panggojiwai,' selected as excellent participating companies in the Kibo Venture Camp, received direct investment support along with guarantees.
This networking day was organized as a platform where participating companies could share their proprietary technologies and business information, seek mutual cooperation, and meet investment stakeholders all at once.
Kim Young-gap, a director at Kibo, said, "Kibo is continuously striving to expand preferential support systems for companies participating in the Kibo Venture Camp," adding, "We will actively support the growth of Kibo Venture Camp participants into star venture companies."
