Learn Administration and Earn Pocket Money... Nowon-gu Recruiting College Student Part-Time Jobs for Summer Vacation

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Nowon-gu is recruiting university students to participate in on-site government experience programs during the summer vacation of 2022.

The district conducts the 'University Student Government On-site Experience' twice a year, in summer and winter, allowing university students to gain practical experience at various sites such as the district office, community service centers, public health centers, welfare centers, and libraries.

The application period for the '2022 Summer Vacation University Student Government Experience' is from 10 a.m. on May 27 to 6 p.m. on June 9.

A total of 80 students will be selected, including 24 specially selected candidates from basic livelihood security recipients (children) and lower-income groups (children).

Applicants must be registered residents of Nowon-gu as of the application start date (May 27, 2022) and be enrolled or on leave at a domestic (specialized) university. However, students from broadcasting and communication universities, cyber universities, specialized schools under the Lifelong Education Act, and graduate students are excluded.

Additionally, to provide broader opportunities, those who worked during the summer vacation of 2020, winter and summer vacations of 2021, and winter vacation of 2022 are excluded.

The work period is from July 4 to July 29, totaling 20 days. Work hours are 5 hours per day (9 a.m. to 3 p.m., excluding lunch break), 5 days a week, with possible changes depending on the nature of the work. The daily wage is 53,800 KRW, including an 8,000 KRW lunch allowance.

Selected individuals will be assigned according to demand to various departments of the district office and affiliated institutions (such as Bulamsan Healing Town, facilities within Gyeongchun Line Healing Town), welfare centers, and libraries.

University students wishing to participate can apply through the 'District Office Website - Communication & Participation - Online Application'.

The selection will be conducted by a public computerized lottery at 10 a.m. on June 10 on the 6th floor of the district office's Department of Autonomy and Safety, and the results will be posted on the district office website at 11 a.m. the same day. For detailed inquiries, contact the Department of Autonomy and Safety.

A district official stated, "This is a great opportunity to broaden experience and learn diverse perspectives," adding, "We will continue to strive to support various policies to expand opportunities for youth experiences."
