Promises to Improve Childcare Center Environments and Support Birth and Childcare Policies

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Park Yoon-guk, the Democratic Party candidate for Pocheon mayor, stated, "During the 7th local government term from 2020 to 2021, we secured 56 awards and contests from central government ministries and Gyeonggi Province, along with incentives totaling 33 billion KRW," and appealed for support by saying, "If entrusted with the position of Pocheon mayor once again, I am confident in implementing a new regional development roadmap."
On the 28th, regarding the results of city administration over the past four years, Park said, "If Pocheon was once a peripheral area, it is now reborn as a hub of innovation and development in northern Gyeonggi Province," emphasizing, "It is more important to keep promises than to make them."

Meanwhile, on the 27th, Park held a meeting at the election office with about 10 directors of the Pocheon City Daycare Center Association to listen to their difficulties and promised to improve the daycare environment by stating, "We will establish a policy support system and develop customized measures through on-site visits."
The main points include ▲promoting relocation to newly built apartments to improve the childcare environment of aging national and public daycare centers ▲establishing a support system for daycare centers in underserved areas ▲tuition support for foreign children ▲establishment of a children's traffic safety experience center ▲various supports for daycare centers.
Park also promised childbirth and childcare support policies such as ▲remodeling and new construction projects for children's parks in 14 eup, myeon, and dong including Soheul-eup, Seondan-dong, Pocheon-dong, Ildong, and Naechon ▲construction of a public postpartum care center in Pocheon ▲training and placement of village-based play instructors ▲establishing a support system for childcare moms' employment, start-ups, and freelance activities ▲strengthening illegal parking enforcement on sidewalks and installing additional closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
