Among 'Nekarakubaedangto', Naver Ranks First in Job Change Preference

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Among IT industry workers, the company they most want to transfer to within the group known as 'Nekarakubaengtongto' (Naver, Kakao, Line, Coupang, Baemin, Danggeun, Toss) was found to be Naver.

On the 28th, Career Tech startup Publy conducted a survey of 431 users of its IT industry career social networking service (SNS) 'Careerly,' revealing these results.

When asked, "If you could choose one company to transfer to among 'Nekarakubaengtongto,'" 28% of respondents chose 'Naver.' The second place was 'Toss' with 17%, followed by 'Kakao' at 13%. Danggeun Market and Baedal Minjok tied at 12% each, followed by Line Plus (5%) and Coupang (2%).

In a recent question about "What is the most important factor when choosing a company to transfer to," 44% of 303 respondents prioritized job suitability. Salary (30%) and welfare (20%) ranked second and third, respectively.

'Nekarakubaengtongto' is known among office workers as a so-called 'dream workplace' due to its high salary and welfare levels, in addition to job suitability. Various educational platforms have even created 'Nekarakubaengtongto exam classes,' offering dedicated lectures for those seeking employment or transfer to these companies.

Kim Kwangjong, Careerly Business Leader, stated, "As the concept of a lifelong job disappears, MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) workers tend to seek their own growth through proactive social life rather than stability. Since one can enhance career competitiveness at Nekarakubaengtongto while enjoying high salaries and differentiated welfare benefits, many people hope to transfer there."
