[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Sumi] Ilai and Ji Yeonsu shared their thoughts on cohabitation during couples counseling.

On the 27th, TV Chosun's "We Got Divorced 2" aired a scene where Ilai and Ji Yeonsu visited a psychiatrist and received couples counseling for the first time.

That day, Ilai showed his determination to settle in Korea by doing delivery loading and unloading, photo shoots, and video translation at Ji Yeonsu's company. Ji Yeonsu asked Ilai, "Working is okay, right? The CEO also likes you," and then said, "Then the place where we live is the issue now, so I want to hear your exact opinion."

In response, Ilai said, "I thought about living together with you and our son Minsu," adding, "I want to try living together, and if later we grow so fond of each other that feelings like before arise, I want to talk about remarriage." He also clarified, "I want to be clear that I am not entering this thinking about remarriage."

Ji Yeonsu revealed her true feelings, saying, "Deciding to live together at our house was a decision for Minsu. Regardless of being a man or woman, maintaining a relationship requires effort from both sides, and while we are good parents to Minsu, living in the same space feels so uncomfortable that it feels like something is wrong."

Then the two proceeded with couples counseling. Ilai confided to the counselor, "I'm worried that living in the same house with Yeonsu might be a form of false hope for Minsu." He said, "I have no thoughts of remarriage right now," and added, "I'm thinking of getting a separate place to live so Minsu won't be confused. That way, we can still see each other often."

Ilai also revealed that he often watches his wife Ji Yeonsu's mood. He comforted Ji Yeonsu, who had been struggling with mother-in-law conflicts, saying, "But then I end up comforting her for the same issue... it's been like this for 10 years. The repetition is exhausting for me too."

Regarding the mother-in-law conflict, Ji Yeonsu opened up, saying, "She is someone I can never cut off from my parents." The counselor advised, "You talk about the wounds but don't try to improve the relationship. Talking about wounds without improving the relationship is meaningless." The counselor added, "You seem like better people than your stories suggest. For Minsu's sake, it would be good for both mom and dad to ease their emotions."
