[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) is cruising smoothly.
On the 28th (Korean time), at Colonial Golf Club (par 70, 7,209 yards) near Fort Worth, Texas, USA, during the second day of the PGA Tour Charles Schwab Challenge (total prize money $8.4 million), Scheffler shot 5 under par to maintain his position at the top of the leaderboard (9 under par, 131 strokes). Scott Stallings and Bo Ho-sler tied for the lead, Patrick Reed was 4th (8 under par, 132 strokes), and Pat Perez and Chris Kirk (all from the USA) were tied for 5th place (7 under par, 133 strokes).
Scheffler started tied for the lead by one stroke and delivered a perfect performance with five birdies and no bogeys. He started off well with consecutive birdies on holes 1 and 2, continued his momentum with "stepping stone birdies" on holes 10 and 12, and made a 4.5-meter birdie on the 17th hole (par 4) to lead for the second consecutive day. He relied on his powerful drives averaging 323.6 yards and a pinpoint iron shot accuracy of 94.44%. This is his fifth win of the season since winning the Masters last month.

Defending champion Jason Kokrak (USA) was tied for 51st place (even par, 140 strokes).
From Korea, "Shriners Champion" Im Sung-jae (24, CJ Logistics) recorded four birdies, two bogeys, and one double bogey. He struggled with 2 over par in the front nine but recovered to shoot even par in the back nine. He is tied for 51st place. On the other hand, "AT&T two-time consecutive winner" Lee Kyoung-hoon (31, CJ Logistics) made one birdie but three bogeys, dropping to a tie for 70th place (2 over par, 142 strokes) and failed to advance to the third round.
