[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Roh Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, cast his vote on the morning of the 27th, the first day of the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections, at the early voting station set up in the 3rd-floor conference room of Gangseo-gu Office in Hwagok 6-dong.

Mayor Roh said, "For those who find it difficult to vote on the main election day, I hope you will make sure to exercise your precious vote on the early voting days, where you can vote at any early voting station nationwide regardless of your address, as long as you bring your ID."

The early voting for the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections will take place over two days, the 27th and 28th, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Voters in COVID-19 quarantine and others can vote on the second day of early voting, the 28th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. However, in addition to an ID, they must bring a voting guidance text message sent from the local health center or a PCR/rapid antigen test positive notification message with their name to be eligible to vote.

Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, visited the early voting station set up at Yeonhui-dong Community Center on the morning of the 27th, the first day of early voting for the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections, and cast his vote.

Mayor Moon said, "Since early voting can reduce congestion on the main election day, I hope many people, including those who find it difficult to vote on June 1, will exercise their precious right during the early voting days continuing until tomorrow."

Lee Dong-jin, Mayor of Dobong-gu, voted at the early voting station set up at Dobong 2-dong Community Center on the morning of the 27th for the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections.

Mayor Lee said, "Each precious vote of the residents will decide the future of Dobong. I hope you will put your heart for Dobong into your precious vote."
