[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducted one-on-one face-to-face consulting for the persons in charge of each project under the '2022 Gender Impact Assessment Target Projects' at the Daegaya Cultural Nuri Hobby Classroom.
On this day, the consulting aimed to systematically review and evaluate gender-discriminatory factors arising during the implementation of the county's major projects and announced on the 27th that these would be reflected and promoted through policy.
Prior to this, 20 target projects were selected after pre-consultation with the Gender Impact Assessment Center and review of submitted projects, considering the relevance between gender equality goals and the improvement of the regional gender equality index for expenditure budget unit projects.
A Goryeong-gun official stated, "We will continue to recognize the necessity of gender impact assessments through education and consulting, improve gender-discriminatory elements in project planning, and do our best to realize substantive gender equality."
