[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] Lee Won-jun, CEO of Hyperism, was selected in the finance and venture capital category of Forbes' "30 Under 30 Influential Leaders in Asia," announced on the 26th (local time).
Hyperism is a cryptocurrency investment trust company based in Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, serving over 50 domestic and international institutions including large corporations, family offices, venture capital firms, digital asset exchanges, and mining companies.
Since 2011, Forbes has annually announced next-generation leaders under 30 in 10 fields including entertainment and sports, media marketing, finance and venture capital, healthcare and science, and consumer technology across North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa.
CEO Lee Won-jun was selected in the finance and venture capital category alongside Park Hyun-jun, an analyst at the virtual asset venture capital firm HASHED, and Song Min-jae, an analyst at KB Investment. Other notable names include actress Jung Ho-yeon from Squid Game, girl group aespa from SM Entertainment, Tokyo Olympic archery gold medalist An San, and world No. 1 ranked LPGA golfer Ko Jin-young.
Lee said, "I believe the positive evaluation comes from maintaining Hyperism’s unique identity while pursuing innovation in the rapidly changing virtual asset industry. We will not be complacent and will strive with Hyperism’s members to achieve greater results in new areas such as Web3."
Meanwhile, Hyperism has completed registration as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) with the Financial Intelligence Unit and recently appointed lawyer Kang Sang-won, formerly of Kim & Chang Law Firm, as Chief Business Officer. In March, Hyperism became the first domestic startup to secure additional investment from Coinbase, the largest virtual asset exchange in the United States.
