[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] The COVID-19 outbreak continues to decline.

According to Seoul City and other local governments on the 26th, from midnight to 9 p.m. nationwide in 17 cities and provinces, 16,895 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19. This is 1,380 fewer than the previous day's count at the same time (18,275).

This is 7,659 fewer than a week ago on the 18th (24,554), and compared to two weeks ago on the 11th (31,479), it has decreased by 14,584, about half the number.

Since there is still time until midnight when the count closes, the number of new confirmed cases announced on the 27th will increase slightly, but it is highly likely to remain in the 10,000 range for the second consecutive day.
