Martial Arts, '2nd Korea-China Business Cooperation Exchange Meeting' Held


[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on the 26th that it held the "2nd Korea-China Business Cooperation Exchange Meeting" jointly with the Embassy of China in Korea at the Trade Tower in Samseong-dong.


At the event, KITA Chairman Koo Ja-yeol said in his opening remarks, "This year marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and China, as well as the year the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which includes both Korea and China, came into effect." He emphasized, "We will actively support Korean and Chinese companies to enjoy more benefits from trade through RCEP and to achieve valuable results that the world will envy."


In response, Xing Haiming, the Chinese Ambassador to Korea, stated, "No matter how the international situation changes, the fundamental framework of friendship and cooperation between the two countries remains unchanged," and added, "We will strengthen cooperation with Korea in terms of the industrial value chain."


On the Korean side, nine companies participated, including semiconductor display and component company Exicon, the leading domestic mask pack company L&P Cosmetic, IT electronic component specialist Infac Korea, and leading cultural content company CJ ENM. On the Chinese side, seven companies attended, including Korea-China joint comprehensive shipping company COSCO Shipping, global telecommunications equipment firm ZTE, construction equipment and parts company Sanhe Intelligent Equipment Group, and China Mobile International Limited, a subsidiary of China Mobile, one of China's top three telecom operators. They discussed potential cooperation projects and shared business challenges.
