[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Korea Tourism Organization is working with Incheon International Airport Corporation to revive demand from inbound tourists.


On the 26th, the Korea Tourism Organization announced that it had signed a "Business Agreement for Attracting Foreign Tourists and Revitalizing Transit Tourism" with Incheon International Airport Corporation.


The two organizations plan to cooperate on promotional activities to attract foreign tourists and develop transit programs.


First, in early next month, they will hold a joint briefing session targeting major travel agencies in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to capture the Vietnamese market. From the 25th of last month until July 24th, during the inbound tourist hospitality campaign period, a hospitality center will be operated within Terminals 1 and 2 of Incheon International Airport.


Immediately after signing the business agreement, the two parties attended a welcome event for the largest group of corporate meeting tourists visiting Korea since COVID-19.


The group is a corporate meeting organized by Dentium's Turkish branch, consisting of 59 dentists from 11 countries including Turkey and Iran. They will stay in Korea until the 30th, participate in the Seoul International Dental Equipment Exhibition, and visit major tourist attractions such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Nami Island.


Seo Youngchung, Director of the International Tourism Headquarters at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "To secure the rapidly recovering overseas travel demand, we will carry out various collaborative projects with Incheon International Airport Corporation."
