High-End Design Category - Lotte Construction
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] Lotte Construction, which won the Grand Prize in the High-Quality Design category at the Asia Economy Apartment Brand Awards, boasts a distinctive complex exterior differentiated from other companies through its premium apartment brand ‘Lotte Castle’ and luxury housing brand ‘Le L’. In particular, Lotte Construction launched the interior style ‘AZIT3.0’ two years ago. This reflects Lotte Construction’s commitment to enhancing the value of time spent at home. The goal is to create a new residential space unique to Lotte Castle by reflecting the recently changed lifestyle and consumer culture.
This design philosophy of Lotte Construction is fully embodied in ‘Gireum Lotte Castle Clacia’ in Gireum-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, which was completed last January. The complex consists of 19 buildings with 2,029 households, ranging from 6 basement floors to a maximum of 37 floors above ground. It is located between Gireum Station and Miasageori Station on Seoul Subway Line 4.
The complex boasts differentiated landscaping. Nearby, there is a large-scale neighborhood park spanning 4,400 pyeong and the Seongbuk Olle Trail connecting Gireum Station to Kalbawi, providing abundant green infrastructure outside the complex. Inside, six themed terrace gardens and a tree-lined street connecting them run through the center of the complex. Especially at the center, there is a layering caf? garden featuring water spaces and resting facilities.
The complex is also equipped with community facilities. It offers various exercise spaces such as a fitness club, indoor golf club, and GX room, as well as cultural and educational spaces for residents including a small library, kids’ study room, and clubroom.
This complex realizes a ‘smart apartment’ through advanced technology. By applying a home network system, residents can check visitors, receive intrusion alarms, call elevators, and monitor energy usage. Additionally, the smart energy monitoring system helps practice energy saving by alerting when preset thresholds are exceeded, and an integrated switch automatically cuts standby power.
The surrounding infrastructure and transportation conditions of the complex are also well established. Urban infrastructure such as Hyundai Department Store, Lotte Department Store, E-Mart, and Korea University Anam Hospital is well equipped, enabling convenient living. The surrounding environment is improving through urban redevelopment projects such as the Mia Central Redevelopment Promotion District. Convenient city access is possible via the Internal Circulation Road and Northern Arterial Road, and upon completion of the Dongbuk Line light rail, the complex is expected to become a double station area. Nearby schools include Sunggok Elementary and Sunggok Middle School, allowing students to commute on foot, and prestigious school districts such as Younghoon International Middle School and Kyeseong High School are also located nearby.
