Gyeongsang National University Department of Technology Management and Gyeongnam Technopark Sign Talent Development and Innovation MOU

Gyeongsang National University Department of Technology Management and Gyeongnam Technopark Sign Talent Development and Innovation MOU Gyeongsang National University Department of Technology Management and Gyeongnam Technopark are signing a business agreement.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Department of Technology Management at Gyeongsang National University Graduate School and the Management Support Office of Gyeongnam Technopark signed a business agreement at 11 a.m. on the 25th at Gyeongsang National University Gajwa Campus to foster convergence-type technology management talents and create an innovation ecosystem in the Gyeongnam region.


Based on this business agreement, both organizations promised to establish a close cooperation system including ▲ fostering convergence-type technology management talents ▲ providing technical support and joint research for industrial development.


Through this, it is expected to play a significant role in the development of the regional economy by fostering convergence-type technology management talents in the Gyeongnam region, establishing a foundation for digital transformation technology commercialization, and building a regional innovation ecosystem through industry-academia cooperation.


Jeon Jeong-hwan, head of the Department of Technology Management, said, “If both organizations communicate and cooperate closely, it is expected to greatly contribute to fostering convergence-type technology talents,” adding, “Both organizations are striving for the innovative growth of companies in the Gyeongnam region, and if industry-academia cooperation projects and Gyeongnam Technopark’s corporate support projects are linked, great synergy will be produced.”


Jung Won-jae, head of the Management Support Office at Gyeongnam Technopark, said, “While government and local government funding is important for fostering industries and companies in the Gyeongnam region, establishing a systematic Regional Innovation System (RIS) based on industry-academia cooperation is also a key issue,” adding, “To this end, Gyeongnam Technopark will continue cooperative activities with Gyeongsang National University in education and industry-academia fields.”


Gyeongsang National University was selected as the first in Gyeongnam for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s Convergence Technology Commercialization Professional Workforce Training Project (MOT) in August 2020.


Since the 2021 academic year, the Department of Technology Management has been operating master’s and doctoral programs to foster specialized personnel for the convergence technology industrial field in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, leading innovative growth of companies and supporting the commercialization of convergence technologies.
