Bithumb Updates Convenience Features Including Easy KRW Deposits: "Easy and Fast for Both Customers and Developers"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Domestic cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb announced on the 26th that it has carried out a service improvement update to provide convenience to customers and developers.

First, Bithumb will support the KRW Easy Deposit service starting today. With this, Bithumb customers can deposit Korean won into their Bithumb wallets without accessing the NH Nonghyup Bank application (app). The authentication process for applying for the Easy Deposit service has also been simplified through ARS.

Using the Easy Deposit service also increases the deposit limit for accounts opened non-face-to-face. Until now, when Bithumb customers opened an NH Nonghyup Bank account non-face-to-face, the daily deposit limit was restricted to 1 million KRW. However, with the Easy Deposit service, deposits of up to 10 million KRW per day are possible. For customers who have registered a general account, deposits of up to 1 billion KRW per transaction and 5 billion KRW per day are possible when using the Easy Deposit service.

Bithumb will operate this service as a beta version for the time being to ensure stable service application. Once the beta version ends, the maximum daily deposit amount is expected to increase.

In addition, the Application Programming Interface (API) Documents site for professional traders and developers has been renewed. Through this site renewal, Bithumb focused on developer convenience by providing a wider range of programming languages and making it easier to obtain API request forms. An API refers to a set of interfaces that assist in software or program development. By utilizing open APIs, external parties can develop trading systems connected to the Bithumb exchange. Since 2020, Bithumb has been providing APIs that receive information such as current prices and order books.

The improved Bithumb API Reference has added a 'Try it' feature. When users input the information they want to receive through the Try it feature, they can check the actual API communication results instead of pre-prepared sample results. This is expected to allow even non-expert developers unfamiliar with API usage to easily test Bithumb Open API.
