INDONG FN, Creating a Family-Friendly Culture Through Maternal Protection System

INDONG FN, Creating a Family-Friendly Culture Through Maternal Protection System

Indong F&N (CEO Jang Gi-kwon), which operates women's contemporary fashion brands SHESMISS, LIST, and SISTINA, runs a maternity protection system to guarantee 'work-life balance' through the coexistence of workers' work and family life, thereby enhancing competitiveness.

Based on the company motto that the happiness of employees and their families is the driving force of the company, the maternity protection system includes a 'Family Day' policy where all employees work one hour less every Wednesday and Friday. Additionally, the company operates a 'Childcare Helper Allowance' that provides KRW 1,000,000 per month after tax to employees with preschool children under the age of six, regardless of gender, and a 'Childbirth Support Congratulatory Fund' that offers up to KRW 5,000,000.

A shortened flexible working system is also in place, allowing dual-income parents with children in first grade or below and pregnant employees to start work at 10 a.m. or leave at 5 p.m.

Last April, ahead of May, which includes Children's Day and Parents' Day, the company boosted employee morale by providing a separate 'Family Month Incentive' to all staff.

An Indong F&N official stated, “We have expanded the childcare helper allowance, which was previously given only to female employees, to male employees starting February this year. We will continue to implement various family-friendly policies so that our members can find joy both at home and at work.”
