GS25×One Spirits Launches July New Product 'Wonsoju Spirit'

GS25 to Open 'GS One' Soju Popup Store in Busan


[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Wonsoju is coming to customers in Busan through a pop-up store.


GS25, a convenience store operated by GS Retail, announced on the 26th that it will run a pop-up store called 'GS WON' in Busan for one week from the 31st of this month to the 6th of next month in collaboration with One Spirits. The location will be announced later.


This pop-up store was planned to commemorate the launch of One Spirits' new product 'Wonsoju Spirit,' which is scheduled to be sold at GS25 in July. The name of the pop-up store, GS WON, reflects the meaning of GS25 and Wonsoju. The concept of the pop-up store is 'Wonvenience Store,' implying that it has everything you want like a convenience store.


GS25 and One Spirits plan to sell a total of 30,000 limited edition bottles of Wonsoju at the GS WON pop-up store over the course of one week. Among them, 21,000 bottles will be sold at the pop-up store. The remaining 9,000 bottles will be sold from the 31st through 'Wine25Plus,' GS Retail's online liquor platform. Consumers who cannot visit the pop-up store can purchase through the Wine25Plus app on the GS25 'My Fridge' application and pick up at a nearby GS25 (excluding Jeju area).


At this pop-up store, visitors can also find various fashion goods produced in collaboration with fashion brands. A 'Wonsoju Limited Edition Package' created in collaboration with artists popular among the 20s and 30s generation will also be sold.


Park Jaebeom, CEO of One Spirits, said, "Following two successful pop-up stores, requests from consumers in other regions continued, leading to this event in Busan. Unlike previous pop-up stores, this one will offer not only product sales but also abundant sights and entertainment for consumers in the Busan area."


Oh Jinseok, Vice President and Head of Platform BU at GS Retail, said, "Ahead of the launch of Wonsoju Spirit nationwide at GS25 in July, we collaborated with One Spirits to provide customers with a fun experience and communication through the Wonsoju pop-up store. We will continue to prepare various events to approach customers for the successful launch of the new product Wonsoju Spirit, including this pop-up store."


Meanwhile, GS25 and One Spirits plan to introduce 'Wonsoju Spirit' nationwide at convenience stores in July, optimizing alcohol content, aging process, and price to maintain Wonsoju's identity while making it suitable for mass production and enjoyment by a wider audience.
