[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The chairman of the IBK Industrial Bank labor union was sent to the prosecution on charges of paying Democratic Party membership fees with union funds.

On the 26th, according to the police, the Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul sent the IBK Industrial Bank union chairman, Mr. A, to the prosecution on charges of violating the Political Funds Act.

It was investigated that Mr. A paid about 3 million won of membership fees for some union members who were Democratic Party rights holders in 2020 using the union's money instead.
