Creating a Happy Workplace through Fair, Efficient, and Communicative Administration
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Yoon Byungtae, the Democratic Party candidate for Mayor of Naju City, posted an appeal directly to Naju City government employees via SNS on the 25th, two days before early voting.
In his appeal, candidate Yoon said, "I will create a happy workplace at Naju City Hall through fair administration, efficient administration, and communicative administration," adding, "Having walked the path of a public official for 28 years and served as Vice Governor of Jeollanam-do for 3 years, I understand very well the difficulties faced by Naju City administration and its employees," and expressed confidence in "creating a happy workplace."
Candidate Yoon, seemingly mindful of the administrative style of the previous Naju mayor, also stated, "I will take the lead especially on difficult issues and will not shift the responsibilities that the mayor must bear."
Specifically, candidate Yoon emphasized that he will eradicate appointments based on bribery and secret lobbying, conduct merit-based appointments, and refrain from unofficial politics, while pledging to establish a partnership with the labor union, with which there had been conflicts throughout the previous mayor’s tenure.
He also promised to regularize communication with young and female public officials and actively support work-life balance for all public employees.
Finally, candidate Yoon stated, "I will also improve the hiring of public workers, which seriously distorted the image of Naju City and caused controversy," and proposed, "Let us together build a capable Naju City, a clean Naju City, and a happy Naju City."
