[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City has taken the first step toward creating a digital innovation ecosystem by opening the ‘Cloukus Global Tech Hub Center’ at Dongseo University Centum Campus.

On the 24th, Busan City held the opening ceremony of the ‘Cloukus Global Tech Hub Center’ and opened Cloukus’s doors at Dongseo University Centum Campus.

The center is a place for building Cloukus’s digital innovation ecosystem and nurturing local talent, which Busan City attracted in November last year.

Busan City and Cloukus will promote discovering and fostering startups through partnership programs to accelerate digital transformation of local companies at the center, including ▲consulting on the introduction of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data ▲support for commercialization of cloud services ▲free credit support for cloud service usage.

Practical education utilizing Cloukus’s function as a Microsoft certified learning partner will also be conducted.

They plan to contribute to nurturing local cloud talent through university-linked contests and cloud camp events.

The city and Cloukus plan to create about 100 jobs by nurturing talent and directly hiring local talent.

Since the Amazon-Busan Cloud Innovation Center opened at Dongseo University Centum Campus in November 2016, about 110 member companies have created approximately 690 new jobs.

The city expects that the Cloukus Global Tech Hub Center will also play a significant role in strengthening the competitiveness of local companies and creating youth jobs.

Hong Seong-wan, CEO of Cloukus, said, “We are well aware of Busan City’s relentless efforts to transform into a digital innovation city, and Cloukus will do its best to contribute to this.”

Lee Jun-seung, Director of Busan City’s Digital Economy Innovation Office, said, “Busan City has already created an opportunity to become a leading cloud city by attracting data center companies such as MS and LGCNS, cloud platform companies such as Amazon Web Services, Douzone Bizon, Kakao Enterprise, and cloud management service companies such as Megazone Cloud, Bespin Global, and Cloukus,” adding, “We will focus our capabilities on the growth of local companies by cooperating with these leading companies in the future.”

Cloukus, established in 2019, is a leading domestic cloud management specialized company.

The company provides comprehensive IT innovation services offering cloud and artificial intelligence solution services and is a leading domestic B2B (business-to-business) IT company leading digital transformation.
