Candidate Choi Oksu Shines with 'Competence and Composure' in Broadcast Debate

“Appeal to Choose Choi Oksu, the Strong Democratic Party County Governor Candidate, Number 1”

[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Candidate Choi Ok-su was evaluated as having overwhelmed the Democratic Party candidate by showing composure and competence at the Muan County Governor Candidates Invitation Debate held at Mokpo MBC at 3 p.m. on the 24th.

In his keynote speech at the debate, Candidate Choi Ok-su stated, “With strong driving force and innovative management mindset, I will run nationwide for the benefit of the residents and definitely create a new Muan.”

During the debate, his skills and preparedness as a county governor candidate were demonstrated based on a deep understanding of current issues and experience accumulated in institutions, companies, political parties, and the agricultural sector.

Through the pledge debate presentation, Candidate Choi Ok-su announced the Democratic Party’s Joint Action Pledge No. 1, which is to provide 300,000 won in COVID-19 support funds to all residents. He also proposed attracting large corporations, ▲developing the Namak Oryong area into a metropolitan-level city, ▲a three-crop urban wealthy farming village, and ▲a warm welfare Muan for all.

Candidate Choi promised, “Muan County has experience in promoting corporate cities and is equipped with airport, highway, high-speed rail, and marine infrastructure,” adding, “I will attract large corporations to simultaneously catch three rabbits: job creation, increased residents’ income, and population growth.”

In particular, he attracted attention by stating, “I will promote the designation of Hoisan Baekryeonji as a Jeonnam provincial garden and a national garden to make it a nationally recognized top-tier tourist destination.” Candidate Choi explained, “Under current law, only one national garden can be designated per metropolitan area,” and added, “It is being promoted nationwide in places such as Gwangmyeong, Sejong, Jinju, and Daejeon, and discussions on legal amendments are underway.”

In his closing remarks, Candidate Choi Ok-su appealed, “A powerful county governor from the Democratic Party, the ruling party in the National Assembly, is needed for Muan’s development,” and urged, “Please unite your support for candidate number 1, the Democratic Party candidate, me, Choi Ok-su, in the early voting on the 27th and 28th.”
