[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Hite Jinro announced on the 25th that it will launch four new products from Spain’s Bodegas Carchelo.
Bodegas Carchelo, located in the Jumilla region in southeastern Spain, is a winery that has been family-run for three generations. The wines being launched this time are four types of red wine: Selecto, Carchelo, Ciento80, and Altico.
Among them, Selecto, which received a score of 90 from the wine media Wine Spectator, is a 15-degree wine made by blending Monastrell, a native grape variety of the Jumilla region, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is aged for 18 months in French oak and then aged in bottles for 24 months, highlighting clean tannins. Only 18,000 bottles are produced and sold annually.
Carchelo is a 14.5-degree wine made from 100% Monastrell, characterized by rich aromas of ripe plum, red fruits, and black berries, with excellent acidity balance. Ciento80, full of fresh fruit aromas, is a blend of Monastrell and Syrah, while Altico is made from 100% Syrah, allowing a harmonious experience of floral and fruit scents.
The four Bodegas Carchelo wines will be sold through Hyundai Department Store (Mokdong, Cheonho, Pangyo, Sinchon branches), Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, and Shinsegae Department Store main branch.
