Korean Companies Receive Praise at French Hydrogen Exhibition

Korean Companies Receive Praise at French Hydrogen Exhibition Korea Pavilion at Highvolution 2022, the French Hydrogen Industry Exhibition

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] A domestic hydrogen-related company recently received favorable reviews by attending the hydrogen industry exhibition "Hyvolution 2022" held in Paris, France, where it held export consultations with local demand sources and was invited to participate in bids.

The Hydrogen Mobility+ Show Organizing Committee announced on the 25th that it participated in the French exhibition by organizing a Korean Pavilion with KOTRA, featuring 11 domestic companies and institutions. As the largest hydrogen industry B2B exhibition locally, marketing was conducted targeting European buyers. Daehan, a manufacturer of high-pressure component testing and inspection equipment, agreed to discuss technology transfer and mutual cooperation with a local hydrogen refueling station design and manufacturing company, as well as joint development of hydrogen refueling stations in Korea.

The hydrogen leak detection film exhibited by Daehyun ST, a company specializing in special tape coating, attracted significant interest from European automakers and parts manufacturers during the exhibition. More than 22 requests for samples and collaboration inquiries were received. Hydrogen storage vessel manufacturer NKETher and liquefied hydrogen specialist Hylium Industry held export consultations worth millions of dollars, and renewable energy power conversion technology company Giphlos was invited to participate in a refueling station business bid by a local bus transportation company. A German hydrogen mobility company also planned to visit the headquarters of the water electrolysis company FCM Tech.

The organizing committee plans to expand the attraction of overseas companies and institutions to the exhibition held domestically in August, while actively facilitating the participation of domestic companies in overseas exhibitions in Germany, Canada, Japan, and other countries. Chairman Jeong Manki of the organizing committee said, "To revitalize the hydrogen economy, it is necessary to establish a global value chain encompassing hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization," adding, "This is possible through cooperation between governments and the private sector of each country, as well as international collaboration."
